I have been creating artwork since I was a very young child. Art was my First Love and is my passion and my happy place. For as long as I can remember I had an infatuation with paper and creating things with paper. Additionally, I love words, writing and storytelling.​

Now, retired after 40 plus years working in health care, I have the time to rekindle my First love. For most of my life art was just a hobby and, having no formal art education or training, I’ve looked to books and online resources for instruction on technique and materials. When asked where I studied art, I jokingly say "UYT...University of YouTube". I’ve tried many, many art forms over the years, experimented with just about every 2D medium and finally landed on the perfect combination of paper, paint and texture found in mixed media collage.

I create my artwork using found and repurposed materials combined with the best grade art mediums. Each original piece is UV protected to maintain it's original quality for years to come.

For me, mixed media collage is cathartic. It allows me the freedom to empty my

mind of chaos and release emotions into visual form. Every piece tells a story,

whether it’s my story in creating the piece or the story the viewer fashions for

themself. I often include words in my art to express my feelings when creating

each piece. Mixed media collage combines color, space, texture, and depth not found in other art forms. For me, it is a personal expression of love by the creator for the viewer.
